Copyediting

Between you, your creative vision, and publication? The last major hurdle is polish. I’m here to make your manuscript shine—clean, consistent, and confidently you—without sanding off the voice that makes it special.

As a romance and fantasy girlie who also devours romantasy, erotica, and sci‑fi, I know the beats, tropes, and worldbuilding expectations readers crave. I’ll smooth the prose, tighten pacing at the sentence level, flag continuity gaps (magic systems, tech logic, timelines, titles/ranks), align character voice, and make sure your terminology and tone stay consistent across chapters. Think: sharper sentences, cleaner mechanics, and narrative flow that feels intentional from page one to “the end.”

Copyediting is your second‑to‑last stop before publication—after this, it’s just proofreading. Whether you’re querying agents, going to small press, or self‑publishing, this pass ensures your story reads like a professional, ready‑to‑publish book while still sounding unmistakably like you.

Submission & Review Process

Within one week of receiving your submission, I'll review your materials and get back to you with:

  • A scope sheet/email

  • A sample edit of approximately 2 pages from your manuscript

Important submission guidelines:

  • Send all documents as .docx files (Microsoft Word format) so I can track changes properly

  • Prerequisites: Developmental editing and line editing must be completed beforehand

  • Include a brief synopsis and your expectations for the copyedit

If I decide to move forward with your project after review, we'll confirm the timeline and process the initial 40% deposit to secure your spot in my schedule.
